Beth D. Carter's new Biker Romance - Along Came Merrie

**Congrats to Sherry, who won my Colors of Us Blog Hop!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?

A long time ago, my husband-at-the-time got into riding Harleys.  I loved the exhilaration of being on the back of the bike. I had a jacket with red flames and our bike was painted cherry red.  I even took a three day course to get my motorcycle license, and I passed…even though I laid the bike down twice.
So when I write about what it feels like to be on a bike…I’m doing that from memory.

I love to hear from readers so I’ve made it really easy to find me on the web:
Amazon author page:

What book are you going to tell us about today? Is it part of a series? If so, what's the order the books should be read in?

Along Came Merrie is the first book in the Red Wolves Motorcycle Club Series.  It’s what I would call the prequel to the Red Wolves trilogy.  It sets up this world and lead into the over-lining arc of the human trafficking story.

The series of the books, in order, are: Along Came Merrie, True North, When Dove Cries, and Lily Roar.

I’m also working on two follow-up books: Violent Delights and Violent Ends.

How'd you/your muse come up with this story?

I love the tv shows Sons of Anarchy and Longmire, so my brain started to crossbreed the two.  I didn’t want to do the obvious, though.  One of the hardest things to deal with is the fact that the men are outlaw bikers.  On one hand you have to stay true to the ideas set forth for one percenters but on the other hand, it’s a story where the heroes needs to be redeemable.  On SOA, they’re gun runners, drug runners, and have no hesitation killing someone.  I decided to focus on a smaller club setting, more of a family.  The first book is pretty tame, but the following books are focused on human trafficking, so things escalate.

Who's your favorite character in the book & why?

I think my favorite is Leo, because he was interesting to write.  I had to do a lot of research on the Shoshone nation, so he came as the full package.  Back story, history, thoughts, feelings…he’s really the opposite of Braden, which makes them work well together.

What's your favorite line in the story?

Okay, this is two lines, and really doesn’t have anything to do with this story, but sets up nicely for the next book:  “I can’t imagine sharing a woman in a long-term relationship. A one-night stand, sure, but no woman is worth being in bed with another man’s junk for the long haul.”

BLURB

Merrie Walden is in the wrong place at the wrong time.  She’s attacked by a vicious outlaw biker bent on shutting her up permanently when she sees something she shouldn’t, but luck is with her and she manages to escape by jumping out of a moving car.  She’s found by horse rancher Braden McClintock, who takes her to his adopted brother, Leo Cloud Dancer, for medical attention.

As she heals in the home of the two men, Merrie begins to realize that she’s falling for both of them.  Braden is taciturn while Leo is outgoing and both reach a deep seated need that she hadn’t even realized she had.

But before she can figure out if they can share a happily ever after, she has to survive the biker who’s found out where she is.  Because even if she doesn’t know what she witnessed, he sure the hell does.

And he wants her silent.

EXCERPT
She could see he wanted to believe her. But there was a world of hurt in his eyes that she didn’t know how to banish. Hopefully, time would help whittle away his insecurities.

He cupped her face. “You’re so young.”

“Not so young I haven’t lived,” she replied. “Not so young that I don’t know what I want.”

“Would you like to try to make this work between us?” he asked.

Once again, she looked between both men and read the sincerity in their gazes. Happiness swelled inside her as well as uncertainty. She’d never considered a ménage relationship and had no idea how to navigate the waters.

“Have you ever done this before?” she asked.

“No,” Leo said. “But learning is half the fun.”

Braden swung her up into his arms and she squealed with delight. She wrapped her arms around his neck. He marched up the stairs with Leo following. At the top, he hesitated and glanced at his brother.

“Mine,” Leo said. “I’ve got a king-size bed.”

Color of Love Blog Hop!

It's that time of year where we celebrate our love for characters of color in romantic fiction in the Color of Love Blog Hop!

The first romance I ever read was Web of Silk by Yvonne Whittle, a Harlequin Presents set amidst the lush background of South Africa.  Morgan, the heroine, was a titan haired beauty and her hero was an American blond Adonis.  I devoured my mother’s collection of Harlequins the summer before I started fifth grade, not only enraptured by the romance and love but also by foreign locals I was transported to through my imagination.

Growing up in a rural town of about eight thousand people that had not one African-American, it never entered my mind that all the romance books out there only featured white couples.  A decade later, when the 1990’s rolled around, I found myself living in Baltimore working at John’s Hopkins Hospital and taking the bus to work.  My Harlequins, at this point, had graduated to sweeping Zebra Historicals.  One morning I happen to see an African-American woman reading a Zebra novel, with a white couple brazenly displayed on the cover and it made me start to wonder why there weren’t more couples of color.

Now, this wasn’t a negative thought by any means.  When I went back to the bookstore I started looking at all the covers…and all were, well, vanilla.  I couldn’t help but see a wide gap that even romance novels wouldn’t breach through mainstream bookselling and I thought that was pretty sad.

The internet was just emerging by this point but used mainly for emailing friends because the information highway was a pain the ass since dial-up it took half a night to download anything.  So I didn’t know the name of Elsie B. Washington, widely regarded as the first woman to publish an African American love story in the mainstream romance market.  Nor did I know of Harlequin publishing the first collection of African American romance novels featuring Donna Hill, Brenda Jackson, and Mildred Riley.

And then the Nineties gave way to a new century; the internet took off and people started realizing how small the world actually is and how beautiful other cultures are.  And then I started seeing more and more romance novels with heroes and heroines on the shelves of different ethnicity.

Fast forward to now and the explosion of ebook publishing.  Finally, love is able to dominate.  Interracial couples are in demand and love is no longer vanilla. I’m so very happy about that.  I have had the delight of reading the most amazing stories, not just about interracial couples but even interspecies couples, ménage stories, and gay romance.  Love is Love.

I am offering a free ebook of either of my M/M interracial stories "Carried Away" or "Not Afraid", all you have to do is leave a comment!  I will choose a winner at random, so please leave a way to contact you, and what format you'd like to have.  (If I don't have that format, I'll send a PDF version)

Carried Away:
Jin-Pyoo is an Olympic Alpine skier who has been reared all his life to focus on winning a medal. His father is harsh and demanding, but when he orders Jin to stop being friends with ski resort owner, Tolliver St. James, Jin has to decide if he should continue with his Olympic dream or follow his heart.

Tolliver St. James knows that Jin is the man for him. They’ve been in a secret relationship for two years and he wants them to be publicly out, but Jin wants them to keep hiding in the shadows. When Jin’s father forces Jin into an engagement with a woman, Tolliver is afraid of losing his lover forever.

But when Tolliver is caught in grips of an avalanche, Jin knows he can’t live his life without him and it’s a race against time to find the man he loves more than anything.

Not Afraid:
Raleigh Hewes has known Augustus Rains his whole life, and for the past year they’ve been lovers. They’ve kept it a secret because Gus is afraid of what people will say. Not only are they a gay couple in a small town but he is black and Raleigh is white. Raleigh wants to be out and proud, but Gus is concerned since both their businesses revolve around the local market.

After an argument, Raleigh has doubts that their love can last because he’s tired of hiding their relationship. When a storm sweeps over his farm, he’s caught in the eye of a tornado, and Gus races frantically to find the man he loves.

The danger has put into perspective his fears and Gus decides not to be afraid anymore. He just hopes it’s not too late to lay claim to Raleigh’s heart.

New Release! My Pregnant Boyfriend!

It's release day of my new novella, My Pregnant Boyfriend.  My editor suggested that male pregnancy stories were popular but authors seemed to have a difficult time with writing such a story line, but being the outgoing, open minded person that I am I thought "Why not?"

Of course, I had to think a believable reason how a man might get pregnant.  I didn't even think of the alien way (my friend Jacey Holbrand came up with a fabulous story about that! Look out for Breeding Seth sometime soon from Evernight.).  Instead, I turned to a shifter story, with the idea that nature always finds a way to survive.  Nature adapts, changes, so I thought, why wouldn't it do the same with animals?

I began to research extinct animal races and came across an interesting species called Homotherium.  They were a type of scimitar toothed cat (saber tooth) that died out abruptly about ten thousand years ago, about the same time that humans began to cultivate the land.  I thought that was an interesting coincidence.  Also, it's rare to find full skeletons of the cats.  My imagination soared.

I came up with Peter, on the run from a hunter, and the last of his kind.  Instead of fighting, he's learned to run and hide, but the hunter is relentless and hunts him almost to the point of death.  He's saved by Ethan, a cougar shifter, and the two find an instant attraction.

I had a wonderful time writing My Pregnant Boyfriend.  I'm interested in writing more mpreg stories so any feedback would be great!

BLURB

Ethan Rushton can’t believe his eyes when he discovers the type of shifter of shifter he’s saved from a hunter.  The long incisors hanging out the mouth, the sloped hindquarters…it’s a saber tooth cat come to life.

Peter Neren’s been running his whole life.  For ten thousand years his species has been a secret but now he is the last of his kind.  He doesn’t know if he can trust Ethan, but he’s got to try because it’s time to take a stand.

Their attraction is instant, and once they act on their passions nature has found a way to ensure the survival of the species…leaving Peter pregnant.  He will do anything to protect his unborn cub, and so will Ethan, even if that means becoming bait to hunt down the man trying to kill them both.

Beth D. Carter visits with her New Historical Novel

Thank you so much for hosting me!  “The Treasure Hunters” started out as a movie script many years ago.  I’ve always known I wanted to be a writer, I just didn’t know in which media my passion lay.  I’ve written poetry and I wrote several movie scripts.  The Treasure Hunters was my last one and it was then that I decided I did NOT want to write in such a limited capacity any more.  So I switched to novels and I’ve been in love ever since.

I adore the Roaring Twenties.  Perhaps I have a past life centered in that time frame.  Everything from the lingo to the “live and die” attitude of the times.  It was a grand time for women, a very liberating movement that began with women’s suffrage.  This is my second book set in this time period, and this time, I tackled the horrible end of that golden age…the Stock Market Crash.  The subsequent weeks after October 29th defined the next decade and the attitude of so many people.

In The Treasure Hunters, my heroine, Ruby, feels the weight of the world on her shoulders.  Everything she does is with her friends in mind.  So when she finds a treasure map, she’s full steam ahead.  I consider her adventure a little bit Indiana Jones meets Sahara (the Brooke Shields version).  Happy reading!

Blurb:

When the stock market crashes on October 29, 1929, it doesn’t take long for Ruby Talcott to lose everything.  Her father’s shipping legacy slips through her fingers.  Alone, destitute, she packs up her two best friends Eden and Merridie, and takes them to England for a new life.

Working in her family’s warehouse of unclaimed cargo, she foils a plot to steal a map.  But this isn’t just any map…it’s to a lost pirate treasure.  Ruby takes the map for herself and convinces Eden and Merridie to go with her to find the priceless treasure.

She finds Captain Sinclair Dardon, a man also hit hard by the economic turn, to sail them towards adventure.  But Ruby didn’t count on her wild attraction to the handsome Captain.  Nor did she expect he has his own bad guys hunting him.

Excerpt:

She was vaguely aware her mouth dropped open. Before her wasn’t the typical scruffy-bearded, dirty boat captain.  This man was young.  And handsome.  More butterflies fluttered in her stomach.  He had short black hair that looked like he’d been running his fingers through it in aggravation.  He needed a shave, but Ruby rather thought his slight whiskers enhanced his looks rather than detracted.  Although he looked tough, he had kind eyes––blue maybe, or green.  It was hard to tell in the muted lantern light.  He was tall, muscular, and when their gazes met her heart stuttered in her chest.
“My name is Sin,” he said, introducing himself, although his gaze stayed locked upon her.
“Literally or figuratively?” Merridie asked dryly.
He winked at her.  “Captain Sinclair Dardon.  Who are you, and how may I help you?”
“I’m Ruby Talcott, and that’s Merridie Morgan and Eden Cariker.  We need passage to Africa,” Ruby said, ignoring the odd excitement gripping her insides.  Now was not the time to get distracted by a pretty face.  Oh, but that was easier said than done, especially once he turned those hypnotizing eyes back her way.
“Why do you think I can help?”
“The registry office has you listed on heading to Africa this morning.  We just need a ride.”
            “I’m not a passenger ship.”
“We won’t be passengers,” Ruby insisted.  “We can earn our way.”
The way his gaze traveled up and down her body had her blood heating up and leaving little doubt to what was going through his lascivious mind.
“This isn’t a whorehouse either,” he stated.

Bio:

I like writing about the very ordinary girl thrust into extraordinary circumstances, so my heroines will probably never be lawyers, doctors or corporate highrollers.  I try to write characters who aren't cookie cutters and push myself to write complicated situations that I have no idea how to resolve, forcing me to think outside the box.  I love writing characters who are real, complex and full of flaws, heroes and heroines who find redemption through love.

I’ve been pretty fortunate in life to experience some amazing things.  I’ve lived in France, traveled throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand.  I am a mom to an amazing little boy.  I’m surrounded by friends and family.  I hate washing dishes but I love cooking. I hate washing clothes but I love wearing them. Writing my bio is difficult because I never know what to say so I hope you like this one.  My favorite color is red but I look best in black (it’s slimming).  I hate people who don't pick up their dog's crap in public places, people who don’t use turn signals, and I really hate people who are rude and condescending. I especially hate discrimination in all and every form.  And although I love holding a book in my hand, I absolutely adore my e-reader, whom I’ve named Ruby.  I love to hear from readers so I’ve made it really easy to find me on the web: https://twitter.com/BethDCarter

The Raritan Manor Ranch Series from C.R. Moss

Hi all! Thank you for having me here today! :)

I’m pleased to share information about my new release, Journey Across Time, and the first book, Dream Across Time, with everyone. Journey Across Time is the second book in a renewed series of mine, which is now called Raritan Manor Ranch.

Many years ago in a state far away (Texas at that time), I started to write romance. Before that, as some of you may already know, I’d been into writing horror. Still am, but that’s a tale for another day under my other pen name. Anyway, at that time, I came up with ideas for a few stories that revolved around a particular family and a matchmaking cat who all lived in New Jersey. New Jersey is where I’d been born (even more years ago) and raised.

There was a house and piece of property up the road from my family’s place that I’d been enamored with and considered buying if it were ever to find itself on the market. Obviously, I never did make that particular real estate purchase since I live over two thousand miles away from it now, but I did the next best thing. I used it as the house in the series, though please note, I’ve taken artistic liberties with its architectural plans. ;) The house on the cover does resemble what it looks like in real life. One of the pics I’ve included for this post is a blurry one, taken when hubby and I drove past it one day.

Some of you might notice that the first two stories (and the third one once it becomes available) seem familiar. The first three books in the Raritan Manor Ranch series had found a publishing home once upon a time, but alas, as some relationships go, that wasn’t meant to be a lifetime one. Back in their ex’s home, they had different titles and a different series name. Now the books have been given new life through Evernight Publishing. The fictional house and family in the stories have relocated to Nevada, word count has been added, the stories have been re-edited, and the current series title pays homage to a river in NJ that I grew up near. And, yes, the cat (who is modeled after my own fur baby) still plays a part in the stories.

Thanks for giving me a few minutes of your time! I do hope you’ll check out this series and my other books. :)

Blurb for the first book, Dream Across Time
A woman in love. A ghost in need. A man possessed.

Evelyn Sheridan is in love with Raritan Manor Ranch’s resident ghost, Quinn, but can only experience his embrace in her dreams.

Quinn VanAlder, who doesn’t realize he’s a ghost, loves Eve and wishes she’d stop saying they can’t be together.

While at the ranch, Alex VanAlder arrives for a visit, and Evelyn’s hopes rise. Perhaps she will be able to have a real relationship after all. Alex, though, has no interest in Evelyn. Yet, every time the house cat, Myrddin, comes around, Alex feels like a man possessed and wants Eve with a passion.

Caught between loving a ghost and putting up with a man who can’t make up his mind, Evelyn is at a loss. Can the magic of the ranch help Evelyn to stop being caught between two worlds?

Genres: Erotic, Paranormal, Time Travel, Romance
Heat Level: 3
Approx. Word Count: 23,750

Blurb
There is magic on the ranch.

A woman examining life. A man on a quest. Time restores his spirit and her love.

Trent, a man in the past on a mission to discover where he belongs, embarks on a spiritual journey. His spirit guide, to his dismay, is a frisky feline named Myrddin. During a ritual, the cat brings the soul searcher forward into Julie VanAlder’s world.

Julie is attracted to the newcomer on the ranch, but his strange mannerisms and speech dictate she use caution, especially when she learns where he’s from. A botched relationship, supposed time travel, spiritual mumbo jumbo…it’s almost too much for Julie to take.

Can Trent make her believe in destiny and win her love before it’s too late?

Excerpt
But now Trent doesn’t even look like he was ever affected by the car ride. Amazed at how much energy he had, she sat up and crossed her legs. Boy, what a sight he is.
Trent, shirtless and showing off his built body, strolled from the water, moving with precision. The women around her tittered, whispering fast and lewd phrases about “the hunk.” Her gaze swung to one group of females whose attentions and words confirmed their obvious appraisals of the man. She looked back at Trent. His quadriceps rippled with each stride, fighting against the sand’s resistance. He stopped and wiped his forehead. Beads of water trailed down his light brown skin, glistening on him like pixie dust. He bent over, then quickly straightened. His long black hair made an arc in the air, casting off the seawater. Trent ran his fingers through his slick and shiny locks.
Poseidon come to life. Beautiful Greek god incarnate. Julie sighed. No wonder he's making the women flap their lips. If one of her girlfriends were nearby, she’d be chatting up a storm with them about him too.
Her pussy warmed, as did her breasts. He seemed to be a heady dose of sizzling hormones just by looking at him, making her body flush with desire that rolled into a burning need.
She shook her head. Stop thinking about how handsome he is! Just friends. That's all it can be. With him or any man since I don’t want my heart broken again.
He sauntered over and retrieved a bottle of water from a cooler. After taking a long draught, he proceeded to dump the water over his head. He ran his fingers through his wet hair again. A mischievous glint twinkled in his eyes. His gaze traveled over her, then to the other sunbathers around them. A smile lit his face and faint lines creased around his deep brown eyes, slanted provocatively.
She lifted an eyebrow. “What’s that look for?”
He chuckled. “I am astounded by all the scantily clad women…showing much more than just an ankle.” He watched a tall, thin blonde dressed in a bikini walk by, his head turning as she passed. “How decadent and scandalous...arousing, actually. I may not be able to contain myself.” His gaze whipped back to Julie and he winked.
Drawn to him by his charm, Julie rolled her eyes and smiled back. She couldn’t help it. Talk about arousing. His six-pack abs were right there, two feet from her face. All she’d have to do was lean forward, extend her hand, trail a finger along the dark divots of the muscles.

Series info

Alien Manhunt 2 is the continuing story of three aliens, Greg – a human – the dominant one in their relationship, Suva an Espoornian – the switch in the threesome, and Taran – a Cinattran – submissive to both of the others.

I liked the characters so much after writing about them for Alien Manhunt 1 (and readers wanted to know ‘What happened next?’) so I decided to write the next stage in their relationship. Like the previous book it is a short story showing an episode in their lives of the characters.

It is intended to finish with Alien Manhunt 3 - that one set on Greg’s planet.

Excerpts:

“No way am I running around naked.”
The two others also standing in the immense forest looked at Greg in astonishment. He knew he sounded petulant, however, he hadn’t expected Espoornia, the home of his elf-like alien partner, Suva, would be so damn cold. It was nothing like their home on the space station, Orion One, which served as an administration, communications and military point for the various nations that co-habited that area of the galaxy. Even his birth planet of Earth, which he hadn’t visited for some years, was far warmer. Unless you were at the poles of his home world, of course.
He shivered and resisted the urge to cup his cock. “If I run around with no clothes on my dick will go blue. Jeez, it will do more than that—it will freeze and drop off!”
Suva said something in his own language and stormed off, his long yellow coat flowing behind him as his lengthy strides took him back to their car shuttle. A densely covered planet, it was impossible to fly from one place to another so the only transport was land-based. Even taking this vehicle involved a journey of many hours.
Taran, the third in their relationship, a reptilian from the planet Cinattra, gave a quirky smile, his dark eyes twinkling in amusement at Suva’s outburst as Greg glanced in his direction. The alien looked away, as if he didn’t want to repeat the Espoornian’s words.
Greg huffed. “So what did Suva just say? I am guessing he swore at me, or something?”
On the space station, translations were broadcast immediately if anyone spoke anything other than the galactic language. There were no such facilities in the middle of the cold—but stunningly beautiful—forest where the trees rose to impossibly soaring heights. It made Greg dizzy looking up.
Taran laughed and Greg studied him, amazed that the youngest of the trio could go bare-chested in this temperature. He might be presenting his gorgeous red, muscular chest, as was normal in his culture, the scales on the sides of his body showing above the belt, but Taran was from a hot world, which made it even stranger to Greg. At least Taran wore leather boots to match his black, jewel-encrusted skirt and the band around his neck. The latter was a sign of his submission.
The Cinattran nodded. “Yes. It was something about your manhood being too small to drop off, and even if it did he would stuff it up your soft human backside.”
Greg’s face tightened. But he couldn’t stay angry for long, and a chuckle escaped him. “I’ll show him too small one of these days!” Walking over to Taran, he ruffled his partner’s long red hair, tied back in its customary plait, so different from his own closely cropped hair. Greg was the dominant one in the relationship, having picked up both guys at a bar on the space station. Suva could switch between roles, being submissive with him while dominant with Taran, who was submissive to both of them. Their relationship usually worked well.
Except everything had changed.

Or if you want a hotter excerpt:

“Show me what else you do with those talons of yours,” Suva requested in a husky voice as he pulled Taran forward. Cupping the Cinattran’s head, he then gave his young partner a passionate kiss, plunging his tongue inside Taran’s mouth. He so wanted to lay him on the floor and take him then and there, using the yellow rubad plant that he could just see through the trees. The plant had marvelous properties, but that was not in his plans—yet.
Taran took him at his word and wrapped his hand around Suva’s cock through his loose trousers. He did not jerk him, although he gripped it tightly. Suva moved his legs apart to give Taran more room, then raising his head, Suva let his tense neck muscles ease up. Closing his eyes, he allowed himself to enjoy the sensation as his little lover gently ran the ends of his claws along Suva’s long, long shaft. The frisson of tiny pinpricks caused him to catch his breath.

Hunted, 1
Abducted and forced to run for his life in a manhunt comprised entirely of human men, Greg spies the two aliens fiercely competing to capture him, and he begins to lust after both of them.

Taran, a hunky humanoid/reptilian, and Suva, a tall, beautiful, slender creature, are both desperate to get to the human first, while dealing with a mutual attraction.
Back on Earth Greg was the dominant one, but the situation has now changed. What do they want with him? Will they sell him, torture him, or make him into their sex slave? Each one keeps their innermost desires secret. But is the truth finally out?
Be Warned: menage sex (MMM), m/m sex, bondage

JR Gray Visits & Talks About Breach of Contract!

The voice that stands out the most to me is George. He is very natural to write as a dominant. But Jesse is the most fun to write as he is all snark and back talk. My inspiration to write the character dynamic comes from a lot of places. Things I see in real life, to feelings I've had in relationships. I wanted them both to be strong willed as well as have walls up like so many damaged people do.

The cover I designed and I wanted it similar to the first book. I wanted it to show the connection between the two characters on a different level than the BDSM of the first book. I think it does a good job of that.

With the legal trouble behind them, Daniel Caplin and Rafael Argon are ready to settle into a low key d/s relationship, but life is unrelenting, when blackmail shatters their illusion of happily ever after. Pictures from one of the Rafael’s public scenes instill fear into his new Submissive, Daniel, acting as a wedge driving the new couple apart.

The building peril in George’s community weighs heavy on his shoulders as he struggles to find the culprit while hiding his feelings for his new house guest. Jesse is torn between ending his marriage, picking up
a rebound he should have left fifteen years in the past, and the dangling carrot of a possible relationship with a man. He is forced to fight for what he wants most, a leap he may be too chicken to take.

In the sequel to Legally Bound George battles to take down an unknown enemy, while watching helpless, as those he cares for most are broken beyond repair. Can Rafael and Daniel rebuild their trust after it's broken with lies?

The back elevator dinged as he approached, and the doors slid back to reveal Jesse's face. He had circles under his eyes and worry lines in his forehead. Two fingers held a garment bag over one shoulder and a
duffle over his other.

“Is it still okay if I stay?” He put a smile on his lips that George knew was fake.

“But of course. Let me help you.” George approached him and tried to take the bag, but Jesse didn’t move to hand it over.

“I’ve got it.”

“Don’t be absurd. I would have a slave do it, but he’s rather tied up at the moment.”

The statement earned a chuckle out of Jesse, and he gave up the bag. Even hurt Jesse had a light in his blue eyes and his heart on his sleeve, a trait that made him wholly unique compared to the masks most wore to impress George.

“I can stay on the sofa or something if the slaves use the guest rooms.”

George laughed and turned his back to stalk down the hall. When he didn’t hear Jesse following, he cast a glance over his shoulder.

“Slaves in bed … how naive you really are, handsome.”

Jesse started after him, brow creased. “Where do they sleep then?” He caught up and followed George to the other side of the penthouse.

He realized Jesse was serious, and he laughed throatily again. “I have cages for them.”

“I love you and Daniel, but your lifestyle is fucked.”

Author Bio

When not staying up all night writing, J.R Gray can be found basking in the warm glow of the Miami sun, or at the gym where it's half assumed Gray is a permanent resident. A dominant, pilot, and sword fighting enthusiast, Gray finds it hard to be in the passenger seat of any car. Gray frequently interrupts real life, including normal sleep patterns, to jot down nonsense. The bane of Gray's existence are commas, and even though it's been fully acknowledged they are necessary, they continue to baffle and bewilder.

If Gray wasn't writing…well, that's not possible. The buildup of untold stories would haunt Gray into an early grave or possibly a mental institution where the tales would end up on the walls in crayon and finger paint.
