ManLove and MPreg Stories by Jacey Holbrand!

Today I welcome my friend, fellow author Jacey Holbrand!  Jacey writes some AMAZING man on man love stories. Seriously, grab a fan as you sit back and enjoy her paranormal  Her series, The Agency, has hot men, alien abduction, and even male pregnancy!

Could you tell us some background on the story/series, like how did you come up your characters and story?

The two main characters came about when Evernight Publishing put out an anthology call for office romances. For it, I came up with the idea of The Agency, a company that helps people with activity concerning their paranormal and supernatural issues, and the one hero, Evan Zenas, a very serious agent who carries a secret about an alien encounter. In the first story, ‘The Encounter,’ a young man, Seth Trivos, comes to work at The Agency. He and Evan knew each other in the past, but due to certain circumstances at that time, they couldn’t pursue their feelings for each other. The short story, ‘The Encounter,’ wasn’t chosen for the anthology, but it was offered a home as a regular release. I came close to doubling the word count and resubmitted it. After some reader reviews, I realized I needed to expand upon Evan and Seth’s relationship and round it out more. But what to write? I hadn’t a clue. That is until I spoke with my dear friend, Elizabeth Monvey, a talented writer in her own right (thank you for your insight GF!). From that brainstorming session, I came up with the idea of Seth having a pregnancy scare. That being said, my original concept of a bunch of different stories following different peoples’ dealings with paranormal and supernatural activities changed with the writing of ‘Breeding Seth.’
Now the series follows the couple, Evan and Seth, and their friends and co-workers as they deal with aliens and the ramifications of their encounters. There’s intrigue, lots of hunky guys, hot sex and men getting knocked up.
Yep, you read that right.
Some men get pregnant.
But you’ll have to read the stories to find out who’s affected, how and what happens. ;) The stories can be read as standalones, but for maximum reading enjoyment, they should be read in order: ‘The Encounter,’ ‘Breeding Seth,’ ‘Cooper’s Condition.’

Book 3 of The Agency
Cooper Hanes has met the love of his life, Doctor Micha Levi, and the chemistry between them is instant and hot. Yet life takes a turn when they go on a fateful trip.

Alien abduction. Experimentation.

Cooper’s left to deal with the greatest challenge of the ordeal. Being pregnant.

Can their lives and love survive the aftermath of the encounter and the changes that come with Cooper’s condition?

Excerpt
Micha’s expressions were so flirtatious and seductive, Cooper’s knees weakened for a moment, but he was able to gather his wits in spite of his raging libido causing him to go all moony eyed. He held out his hand. “I didn’t get a chance to introduce myself earlier. Cooper Hanes.”
“Micha Levi. Sorry I didn’t stick around to talk, but Doctor Lee and I don’t quite see eye to eye on certain issues, and we find it’s much easier to stay out of each other’s way.”
When the doctor shook his hand, a pinch of electricity bit into Cooper’s palm. The sexual magnetism he felt between them intensified. “No problem. Totally understand.”
“So, Cooper, are you new at the hospital?” Micha returned the dumbbells he’d been using to the rack. “How long have you known Doctor Lee?”
“I’m just there to consult on a couple of cases, help out the athletes who got a bit busted up and need some extra special TLC. Doctor Lee was one of my instructors in college so we go way back.” When he caught Micha wrinkling his nose, he added, “Professionally speaking, that is. I’ve only known him in the educational and work environments. For the most part I work out of the offices of Triumph Physical Therapy. I usually work out at the gym near there or the one near my apartment, but I didn’t feel like driving and losing my motivation along the way.” ‘God, Cooper, stop babbling.’ He hated being nervous around other men. He needed to get the doctor talking. One, to shut himself up. Two, so he could listen to the slight accent the man had. “What about you? Been at the hospital long? Do you have a special focus in Orthopedics?”
“I do everything, but my interest really lies in adult spinal disorders and surgery of the spine. It’s delicate and intense work, but to see someone go from constant pain to minimal or no pain and have their quality of life improve is rewarding.”
“I get that. It’s wonderful to see the positive change in a person’s life when they heal.” A woman walked by and snagged the spot near the dumbbells, but a bench became available. “I want to do some presses. Willing to spot me?”
“Sure. Lead the way.”
Micha stood at the head of the bench and placed his hands out toward the bar but didn’t touch it. Cooper grasped the metal pole with fifty pounds worth of weight on either end and lifted it up and over the supports. As he executed a set of reps, he stared at the bulge in the front of Micha’s gym shorts.
‘The doctor’s cock… So close yet still so far away.’
With a small sigh disguised in an exhale of exertion, he wondered how he would approach the subject of his and Micha’s sexual preferences, then mentally kicked himself. It wasn’t like this was his first go-round in the dating game. He had no idea why he was acting like a total noob.
‘Did the bulge in Micha’s shorts just get bigger?'

Micha cleared his throat.
Cooper replaced the bar into the support section and gazed up at the man who was leaning forward and staring down at him.
“Mr. Hanes.” His mouth twisted upwards, not in a true smile but one he probably reserved for difficult patients in which he could silently say, ‘I’m trying to be nice but you’re being irritating.’ Yet, there was an erotic naughtiness to the dark grin and shadow cast over his eyes. “Are you gay?” Micha’s low voice rolled with a beautiful Arabic tone.
He swallowed hard and made sure to meet Micha’s gaze full on. “Yes. You?”
“Yes.”
A sudden sense of calm and ease filled Cooper, replacing the anxiety and filling him with a burst of confidence. Emboldened, he decided to be direct and very honest, feeling if he were to have a relationship with a doctor, this would be the best tactic to use. “Good. When we’re done here, I want to take you out for a drink and make out with you.”
For an instant, Micha’s gaze sharpened, seemed to ignite with passionate heat. “Why wait?”

Book 2 of The Agency

Evan Zenas and Seth Trivos had a tumultuous start to their relationship which has finally mellowed out. But now, something is wrong with Seth. Concerned for his health, Evan convinces his boyfriend, Seth, to see the doctor, and the prognosis is alarming.

Seth is pregnant.

Time Travel with Beth D. Carter

Welcome to Beth D. Carter, who is here to talk about her two time travel romances!

Thank you so much for having me on today!  I've always been fascinated with time travel, ever since I picked up Timeless Passion by Constance O'Day Flannery in 1986.  I devoured the concept and always had an idea in the back of my head that if/when I became an author, I would try to tackle the genre.

For something different, I wanted to bring the female forward to our time.  Just imagine how difficult it would be to go back to a time before there were any modern day conveniences.  Now, how much harder would that be for someone who doesn't even have the foundation of things like the steam engine?

Say hello to Henrietta Knapp.

Micah John drifts through life relying on his ability to count cards in the seedy underbelly of Las Vegas.  One bad turn has him owing a hundred thousand to an unscrupulous loan shark, with only a week to come up with the cash.  He doesn’t have time for much of anything, except working and worrying.

He sure the hell doesn’t have time for a woman claiming to be from 1794.

Henrietta Knapp is trying to wrap her brain around the fact that she’s out of her time.  A bolt of lightning has brought her more than two hundred twenty years forward.  Why? She doesn’t know. Not until Micah John appears.

As mistrust and fear drain away, Micah John and Etta find a love that outshines the bad and the ugly.  But will they be given the chance to hold onto a happy ever after, or will the lightning strike again?

However, my first time travel book was Dreamland, and it's completely written from the hero's POV.  I wanted to bring a unique twist on the concept, and so I decided that the man would go back in time since I've always read the woman taking the time journey plunge.  I came up with Dicen Burke, and the catalyst that sends him back was overdosing and slipping into a coma.  He goes back to the Roaring Twenties, and I found researching the 1920's daunting but fascinating.

Unfortunately, I think the book suffered from a crappy cover.  People couldn't identify with it at all, which was a shame because Dicen Burke is definitely a wonderful anti-hero.

Dicen Burke had it all.  As lead singer in the world famous rock band, Dark Army, the world lay at his feet.  But the path to super stardom warred with a painful past and during a performance the demons haunting him finally descended.  Unable to stop the self destructive path of alcohol and drugs, when he fell, he fell hard.

He wakes up in a world he doesn’t know.  The Twenty-first century rocker is now in the 1920’s, lost and bewildered.  He’s taken in by Juliet Fox, a beautiful woman trying to be a positive influence in her brother’s wild lifestyle among the Hollywood Motion Picture elite.

Dicen does his best to adapt, and with Juliet by his side, he discovers a world that offers him a clean slate.  But when he’s pulled back to the present, separated by time from the one person that gives him a reason to live, will he find a way to push past his demons as well as find Juliet again?

Uniform Fetish Anthology Blog Hop - Manlove Edition!

What was the hardest part in writing this story?

Getting it written.  When the call came out for this anthology, I had a vague idea for an EMT story, but I was working on another story and I figured everyone would be writing about EMTs so I shuffled it aside.  A month went by and the deadline was coming.  There was about two weeks left when my friend, Jacey Holbrand, convinced me I had to write this story that had been dodging me.  So I sat down and wrote Rain and Promises in about four days.

Generally, how long does it take you to complete a book from idea to handing it over to your publisher?

As I said in the last question, it took me about four days to write Rain and Promises.  Usually it can take me about 2-3 weeks to write a story, but this year (2015) has definitely started out slow for me.  I’ve been stuck on the same story for over a month and it’s getting frustrating.

Do you ever use someone in your life as a sounding board for ideas or are you a lone wolf?

No, I’m definitely not a lone wolf.  I have a very good friend, and fellow author, Jacey Holbrand, to bounce ideas off.  We usually get together a couple of times a month to talk about story plots.

Can you tell us a little about your heroes, Ryan and Adam?

Ryan is an EMT and Adam definitely has some naughty fantasies over that uniform.  But I love throwing the emotional twist into my stories so in this case, it’s their one year anniversary and Adam is throwing a surprise.  On his way to pick up their favorite cake, he gets into a horrific car accident, and it’s Ryan who is called to the scene.  You can imagine walking up to an accident, seeing this twisted mangled wreck of a car, and slowly realizing that the love of your life is inside it!

In Rain and Promises, Adam and Ryan are about to celebrate their one-year anniversary. When Ryan's latest call brings him to the scene of a car wreck, he's shocked still by whose life is at stake.
