About the Book:
Seraphine Bishop, enchanted by a sorcerer in the 1800’s, has been by Jared Blaylock’s side for over a hundred years. As his mistress. But things are changing, Jared has been pulling away, distancing himself, and Seraphine wants to know why. They’ve been together for so long, has he finally tired of her?

Jared aches to be near Seraphine, his destined mate, but he must pull away to save her. A fairy prince has laid claim to her, wanting her for his bride. Unless Jared can find a way to change the prince’s mind, he’ll lose Seraphine forever.

Be Warned: bondage

Excerpt:
Seraphine Bishop watched with narrowed eyes as her lover pulled on his clothes. Was it her imagination or did he always seem to be in a hurry to run out the door these days? It seemed she was good enough to fuck, but not good enough to cuddle. That hadn’t always been the case. She’d been Jared Blaylock’s mistress since 1895, when he’d found her roaming the streets, half starved, without a penny to her name and without hope of surviving until tomorrow. A sorcerer had taken a shine to her and had cast a spell over her, freezing her in time and giving her the gift of eternal life, except he’d grown tired of her after a few months and had thrown her out. Jared had found her and given her a new life, except he hadn’t been Jared then. He’d changed names many times over the centuries, with very few people knowing his original name—Lord William Stratham. Her warlock was over five hundred years old, but still looked like a sexy thirty-five.

In all these years, Jared had always been attentive, lavishing her with attention and affection, but for the past month, it had been like being with a stranger. He still came to her, spent an hour or two in her bed, then ran for the door as if hellhounds were nipping at his heels and he couldn’t wait to be rid of her. Why he hadn’t thrown her out, she didn’t understand. It was obvious he’d grown tired of her. Really, she’d expected it to happen a lot sooner. They’d been together for over a hundred years. She’d been waiting for the day he’d crossed paths with his mate and end their affair. Seraphine wondered if perhaps that’s what had happened and he just didn’t know how to tell her, or wasn’t ready to let her go just yet. The question was how much longer was she going to put up with it in silence? She’d been quiet so far, taking his rejection as best she could, but it was grating on her nerves. Things were still hot between them, there was obviously still something there, but he didn’t seem to want to acknowledge it.

Jared paused at the bedroom door. His auburn hair fell across his forehead and into his eyes, hiding their green depths from her. She wondered if he was going to say something, tell her it was over, that he wouldn’t be back, but he turned away from her, twisted the knob, and left without a word. Her heart ached and she fought back tears at the cold dismissal. She shouldn’t have let her heart get involved in the first place. She was in his life for one purpose and one purpose only. As his mistress, she didn’t have the luxury of falling in love with him. Unfortunately, her heart had other ideas.

Not for the first time, she wondered if she should shackle him to her bed. Of course, he could always use magick to get away—unless she used spelled cuffs. Now there was a thought. She could make a game of it, draw him into her web so to speak, then after allowing him to give her a mind-blowing orgasm or two, she could torture the information out of him. What had changed? Why was he different? What was he hiding? If he wanted to play games, she’d play, but by her own rules.

About the Author:
Jessica lives in a world where warlocks, shapeshifters and fairies exist, and everyone deserves a happy ending -- from tragic vampires finally finding love after centuries of being alone, to super hunky womanizing werewolves finding their destined mate –- it’s all in a day’s work.
Unable to find a werewolf of her very own, she decided to marry someone who thinks he’s one -– minus howling at the full moon, fleas, and a rousing game of chase-the-mailman. Okay, so he sometimes howls at the full moon.
When she isn't writing, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, reading (mostly romance), or going to the beach. She’s especially fond of bookstores and Starbucks!

Cover Reveal! ..."Not Afraid" due out Sept 30th.

When I began writing the Romance on the Go stories, I wanted a type of theme. My first story was "Bother Me" and was about an earthquake (which I'm very used to, living in Southern California!).  The second was "Carried Away" about an avalanche.  This story, "Not Afraid" features love gripped in the fear of a tornado.  For all my books, I do a lot of research.  Like, I had to figure out how to survive an avalanche, and for this book, I had to see if it was possible to survive a tornado.

Author's Note:
There have been two documented cases of people being inside the eye of a tornado.  The first man was William Keller from Greensburg, Kansas in 1928.  The second one was Mr. Roy Hall from McKinnet, Texas in 1951.  I recreated Raleigh’s experience from both eyewitness accounts.
                                              <3<3<3<3
I'm so happy that Sour Cherry Designs was able to incorporate the tornado.  It's very symbolic that it divides the two men because the story revolves around Raleigh, a white dairy farmer, and Augustus, a black man who owns his own hardware store.  They live in a very small, conservative Midwest town.  They’ve been in a secret relationship for a year.  While Raleigh wants to publicly acknowledge his love for Gus, Gus is terrified to be shunned.  I loved writing these two men and all the conflicts that reside between them.

BLURB

Raleigh Hewes has known Augustus Rains his whole life, and for the past year they’ve been lovers.  They’ve kept it a secret because Gus is afraid of what people will say.  Not only are they a gay couple in a small town but he is black and Raleigh is white.  Raleigh wants to be out and proud, but Gus is concerned since both their businesses revolve around the local market.

After an argument, Raleigh has doubts that their love can last because he’s tired of hiding their relationship. When a storm sweeps over his farm, he’s caught in the eye of a tornado, and Gus races frantically to find the man he loves.

The danger has put into perspective his fears and Gus decides not to be afraid anymore.  He just hopes it’s not too late to lay claim to Raleigh’s heart.

EXCERPT

Augustus Rains was a big bear of a man with mocha-colored skin that stretched tight over his corded muscles. His hair, mustache, and beard were the same short length and black as pitch. His dark eyes held a wealth of suppressed emotions, and Raleigh often wished he could read his mind, could get a glimpse of what he was thinking. Augustus fascinated him and had ever since high school. In fact, he’d been masturbating to fantasies starring the big guy ever since he’d realized he was gay.
“Were you really going to turn me away?”
“It was Mrs. Brumthal, Leigh. Of course I was going to turn you away.”
And then Augustus reached out with his big, beefy hands and pulled him flush against his body to claim his lips in a deep, penetrating kiss. Raleigh reached up to hold on as Gus licked and sucked on his tongue, fusing them in a way that made his dick hard as steel. It was always like this with Gus, always this raw and powerful and hot. Christ, Gus was the sexiest thing on two legs, and Raleigh always sported a boner within two seconds of laying eyes on the man. When Gus tried to break the kiss and come up for air, Raleigh practically attacked him back, throwing himself into the hard, muscled body. Gus’s arms hit the evenly stacked paint cans and knocked all them off their perfectly set row.
“Jesus, Leigh,” Gus muttered as Raleigh pressed kisses over Gus’s jaw.
“Three fucking days, Gus,” he said roughly in between nips and licks. Gus moaned at Raleigh’s attention. “I’ve been jacking off with mental images of you for three days.”
He sank to his knees in front of Gus and worked on getting his jeans undone. He carefully eased the zipper teeth over the straining erection and some white boxer briefs poked out, barely able to contain the large girth pushing against them.
“I’ve dreamed of this cock, of tasting it and sucking it,” he murmured as he yanked the jeans and underwear down far enough to ease out the huge dick. It was a bit darker than Gus’s skin, and the head was bulbous over a long, thick shaft. Gus’s balls hung, large and heavy. Liquid dribbled out of the tip like crazy, and his mouth watered, so he leaned over and licked.
“Holy shit!” Gus panted. His fingers sank into Raleigh’s hair to either hold him in place or direct his movement. Raleigh didn’t actually care. He was too happy sucking on Gus’s cock to really think about anything else.

The Talented Melissa Hosack Visits Today!

Teacher’s Pet (Book 2 in the Lucky Bet series)

While celebrating his parents’ anniversary at a local casino, Dex Hawthorn is approached and seduced by friends, Arabella and Parker. He takes both women to bed, all of them under the assumption the evening is to be a one-night stand.

Only Dex can’t stop thinking about Parker, and when his duties as a police officer surprisingly force their paths to cross, he takes it as a sign that the two of them are meant to have something beyond a single night of passion. Can he convince Parker he can be a one woman man, and can he get this sexy yet strict school teacher to open up her heart to him?

Excerpt:
Seduced by the School Teacher.
Dex was caught by surprise when Parker passed by the elevators and shoved open the door to the stairwell. “The stairs?” he asked as she started upward, still pulling him behind her.
“I’ve got to get your blood pumping somehow,” Parker said over her shoulder with a teasing grin. “This seemed like a nice start.”
Up and up they went. One floor. Two floors. Three. On the landing of the fourth floor, Parker suddenly stopped. With a giggle, she turned and shoved Dex back against the wall. “Finally, we’ve got you alone.”
Before he could respond, her lips were grazing his. Her fingers smoothed up his chest until she was able to grasp his collar. That’s when her kisses became more demanding. She claimed him with lips, teeth, and tongue.
A groan escaped against his will at the domineering way she kissed him. He’d never had a woman be so forceful in taking what she wanted, and it was a complete turn-on. His arms curved around her waist, and he yanked her forward until her body pressed firmly against his own. While he returned her kisses, he rocked his hips forward into hers, letting her feel his growing erection.
He was so distracted by Parker and her demanding lips, he’d nearly forgotten about Arabella until she suddenly dropped to her knees at his side. While Parker continued to kiss him, her friend stroked Dex’s leg through his jeans. She took her time, smoothing along the coarse fabric. In slow, circular motions, her hand moved closer and closer to his groin.
Finally, she nudged Parker to the side so she could press her palm flat against his dick. “Mmm, Parker, you picked us a big one. Impressive.” Leaning forward, she nuzzled her cheek against the crotch of his pants, emitting a soft purr.
Dex’s head fell back against the wall as Arabella returned to her stroking. His hips arched in time with her movements, thrusting his cock against her caressing palm.
“Hey now,” Parker chastised. “Don’t forget about me.” She was now to the side of him, leaning against the wall. Gripping his chin, she roughly turned his head in her direction, then she was kissing him again.
He couldn’t remember the last time he’d been kissed this good. Parker was so unbearably sexy. He couldn’t get enough of her, and the feel of her nails grazing his neck sent chills through him. Her body tucked perfectly against his side, as if the two of them fit together like puzzle pieces. Her mouth seemed made for kissing. It was soft and tasted like strawberries. He couldn’t get enough of it either.
Knowing exactly what was expected of him this night, Dex didn’t hesitate in slipping his hand up Parker’s blouse. As their mouths battled for control, he inched his fingers upward until he reached her breasts. He stroked them through her bra. Her nipples pebbled under his touch, drawing a groan of arousal from his throat.
At his feet, Arabella used delicate fingers to undo his belt. With quick movements, she had his belt undone, the button of his jeans loose, and the zipper down.
When Arabella began tugging his jeans and boxers over his hips, he regretfully broke the kiss with Parker and pulled his hips back slightly. “Hold on. Hold on! We’re in a public stairwell. I’m not sure—”
“Relax,” Parker said with a little giggle. “No one ever uses these stairs.”

Delicious Excerpt from Iyana Jenna!

Blurb:

Chance Devereux and Ryder Adkins have worked on the same TV series for three years and share a house near the set. Yet Chance can only watch from afar when Ryder gets engaged. Even though Chance is still deep in the closet, he can't help be jealous.

Since the first day of shooting, Ryder has had his sights on his costar, but Chance has a girlfriend and Ryder thinks Chance is straight. After years without a concrete result, Ryder decides to forget his desire to be with Chance and go back to Mike.

During a hiatus, Chance does an interview with journalist, Sebastian Vanderbilt. Sebastian opens Chance's eyes, and he decides he needs to make Ryder his. Can they work it out, or  are they all out of retakes?
Be Warned: m/m sex

Excerpt:
Without waiting for Mike’s answer, he slid his phone open and scrolled down to Chance’s number. Ryder glanced briefly at Mike, who simply nodded and turned away to give him a semblance of privacy. Ryder turned his attention back to the call he was making and nearly jerked in anticipation when it was answered.

“Hey. Chance, it’s—”

“I’m sorry, but Chance can’t answer the phone right now.”

Ryder’s eyes bulged. Taken aback, he swallowed. “W-what? Who is this?”

“May I ask who’s speaking, please?”

“It’s, uh, Ryder. I’m his, his best friend—”

“Oh, Ryder. Sure.”

Ryder lifted an eyebrow when the man laughed a little.

“Chance talks a lot about you,” the man went on.

“Thanks, but….” Ryder’s eyes flickered to Mike, who was observing him closely. His mind began to wander to places he didn’t want to go. How could he not? The man had Chance’s cell. “Where is he? Do you mind if I talk to him?”

“No, of course not.” The man sighed. “But he really can’t.”

“What? What happened? What have you done to him?”

“Whoa, wait a second. I’ve done nothing to him. But he’s asleep right now. He hasn’t been able to sleep for some time. He’s been in so much pain he couldn’t even rest.”

Ryder slumped in his seat, rubbing his face. “Oh, God.” Mike had been right. Feeling lightheaded, Ryder whispered into the mouthpiece. “What’s wrong with him? God, is he okay now?”

“Yeah, I truly hope so. He’s much calmer now. He caught a stomach bug a couple of days ago.”

“And you’re—you’re Sebastian, right? Sebastian Vanderbilt? I saw the pictures.”

“That’s me. Oh, and Ryder?”

“Yes?”

“I heard about your engagement. Congratulations, man.”

“Well, I don’t—”

“Hey, look,” Sebastian cut him off. “I’d love to talk to you, but I really have to go. I’ll tell Chance that you called, okay?”

“Wait, Sebastian. I’m just… you know, I—” But it was too late. Sebastian had hung up. Sucking in a breath, Ryder could only gawk in disbelief.
****
Sebastian didn’t know for sure why he felt reluctant to talk to Ryder. He had no reason to feel threatened by him, though if the way Chance talked about Ryder in the interview was anything to go by, Sebastian might have to consider how he felt toward the guy. This was such a new thing for him, feeling insecure. He wasn’t that kind of guy. Sebastian wondered what Chance had done to him.

Back in the guestroom where Chance was resting, Sebastian found him awake. Chance’s gaze wandered, his expression half-studying his surroundings, half-wondering how or why he was there in the first place. He turned to Sebastian only when he heard him clear his throat. Warmth surged in Sebastian’s heart at the fleeting blush on Chance’s freckled face. He wondered what Chance thought about the room. Sebastian loved his place, but perhaps it was childish to want to hear what Chance had to say about it.
Sebastian went to sit next to Chance, reaching out to feel his brow.

Chance groaned, shying away. “I’m not a child, Sebastian.”

“No.” Sebastian smiled. “But you gave me quite a scare.”

“Sorry.” Chance looked down.

“Hey, that’s not your fault. You were sick and obviously you hadn’t fully recovered when you left the hospital. How are you feeling now?”

“Much better.” Chance licked his lips.

“Water?”

“Please.”

Sebastian watched Chance drink slowly, and when he pulled back, some drips still clung to his lower lip. Sebastian knew he’d been staring, and he completely ignored the glass shoved back into his palm. Finally, he chuckled, put the glass away on the nightstand, and took off his shirt.

Chance’s eyes widened before they darkened a bit.

“May I?” Sebastian gestured toward a space on Chance’s huge, fluffy pillow.

Chance shifted a little to give him more room, much to his delight. He slipped under the cover and could feel Chance stiffen slightly. His face—mere inches from Sebastian’s—was taut before he relaxed and snuggled into Sebastian’s bare chest. Chance’s body felt sleep warm under his thin T-shirt, and Sebastian braved Chance’s reaction and slid a hand under it. He palmed Chance’s flat abs and up to his muscled torso, sighing appreciatively at the deep moan wrenched out of Chance’s throat.

“Beautiful,” Sebastian said huskily. “Very beautiful.” He tweaked a nipple and was rewarded with the stretched column of Chance’s smooth neck as he threw his head back, lips parting, his guttural growl sending Sebastian’s blood to his groin.

About the Author:

Iyana writes M/M short stories and novellas. Her works have been published by Evernight Publishing, JMS Books, Books to Go Now, Torquere Press, Bitten Press, Leap of Faith Publishing, Breathless Press, and Alfie Dog Fiction.

Iyana lives in Jakarta, a city famous for its traffic jams, a lot of cars and motorcycles, and people selling stuff on the roads. You can spend two hours on the road going to a place you can reach in half an hour in a normal situation. Thanks to the traffic jams, though, Iyana can come up with a lot of stories, mostly shorties, as she prefers to spend the time during her trips writing into her cell phone rather than sleeping.

Another thing Iyana loves is kitties. Right now she has three of them. Their names are Cil, Horus, and Betsy, and one kitten. When she doesn’t write, she plays with them, or they would play with her when she writes.

Alisander has been by Hark’s side almost his whole life.  He is in love with him, but when he meets Cax he sees a future away from the servant life he’s been confined to.

EXCERPT

“If you keep staring at me,” Cax muttered to him, “I’m going to have to hurt you.”
Alisander grinned. “New to Eyvindar, eh?”
“Does it matter if I am?”
“Passing through?”
Cax finished his drink and rose from the bar. "Poro," he called out, ignoring Alisander. "I'll take a room for the night."
The barkeep came over and held out his hand for the coin, which Cax gave him without counting. He figured it was enough when Poro beamed and gave him a quick nod. "Don't worry about a thing, Cax. You come back when you want. The room is waiting for you." He jerked his head to a corner. "Up the stairs, first door on the right."
Cax's fist bounced on the bar once to seal the bargain, and then he turned and started out. To his annoyance, the redhead was right on his heel. Even though he felt wildly attracted to him, for some unknown reason, the last thing he wanted to do get involved with someone while on a mission, and especially with someone so young.
"Why are you following me?" he asked over his shoulder.
"I'm just walking myself out as well," Alisander nimbly replied.
"Then, when we reach outside I expect you to go your way and I shall go mine."
"Unless your way and my way happen to be the same way."
Cax growled under his breath, and when they did indeed emerge onto Winemaker Row, in the blink of an eye, he had Alisander backed against the wall, his hands held prisoner within his own and thrust above his head. The position was meant to put him at a disadvantage, but Cax instantly saw his mistake. Without realizing it, he’d brought their bodies flush up against each other, and he couldn’t help but to grind his pelvis into the younger man, making sure he felt his hard cock so he’d know exactly what he was dealing with.
“What—”
“Shush,” Cax ordered, leaning forward a little to get a sniff of his scent. There was something sweet and intoxicating, and Cax couldn’t help but moan at the aroma. He had the urge to bite, to take, and that was something he’d never experienced before.
“Cax?” Alisander asked a bit breathlessly.
“Who are you?” Cax asked, feeling all shades of confusion over his powerful attraction.

5 THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THIS STORY...

1) This story was originally a sequel to a fantasy piece I wrote years ago.

2) I broke it down for the Planet Alpha series for Evernight Publishing but they rejected it.  I got a contract for it being a straight fantasy story.

3) Two of the character names are different.  Cax was originally named Creedy and Hark was originally named Haraldar.

4) I got the name Dark Rider from chapter one.

5) I may use the rest of the book as a sequel.
